HOMEWORK FOR SECTION B:

1. 1.A salesman earns a monthly basic salary of Rs 25,000 and 3% commission on his total sales. Given that his total sales for the month of February is Rs 300,000, calculate his total salary for that month. 
   
   
2. 2.Joshua, an electronic shop salesman, is paid a basic salary of Rs 9 000 monthly. He also receives a transport allowance of Rs 2 000 per month and 2.5 % commission of his total sales at the end of the year. During a certain year, his total sales were Rs 4,000,000. Find 
   (i) his commission received for that year, 
   (ii) Joshua’s total earnings for that year. 
   
   
3. 3.A worker earns Rs 40 per shirt she makes during normal working hours. If she works overtime, she gets an additional Rs10 per shirt. 
   (a) In a week, she made 60 shirts during normal hours and 15 shirts during the overtime. Find her total earnings for that week? 

 (b) On another week, her total earnings were Rs 3 400. Given that she made 12  shirts during the overtime. Calculate the number of shirts she made during  normal working hours?
